How to activate the Google Tag Manager plugin

Google Tag Manager is a tag management system that allows you to quickly and easily update code fragments (known as tags) on your website. Once you activate Google Tag Manger plugin, you can safely and easily add third-party codes to your website, such as Tracking Pixels or Analytics Tools. 

Go to Settings 

→  Plugins

→ Google Tag Manager

Tap Activate.

Enter your GMT Container ID.

To have your GMT Container ID you will need: 

  1. Log in to (or create) your Google account

  1. Go to your Google Tag Manager account and open the Container. In the top right corner, you will see your GMT Container ID.

If you don't have a Google Tag Manager account yet, go by the link and create an account.

Start with filling in the form:

  1. Assign an account name.

  2. Select the country where your business operates.

  3. Assign a container name by entering your shop’s URL without HTTP//.

  4. Select Web as a target platform.

Tap Create.

In the Install Google Tag Manager window tap OK.

Confirm you accept the Data Processing Terms by checking the box at the bottom of the page, and confirm you agree to the Google Tag Manager Terms of Service Agreement by tapping Yes at the top of the page.

Copy your GMT Container ID from the top right corner.

Paste it into the Aleph Express app. Tap Save.

The Google Tag Manager plugin has been successfully activated.
